2020 MICHIGAN ENERGY SUMMIT

The 2020 Virtual Michigan Energy Summit Series on November 19, 2020 was the first of its kind for Michigan Battle of the Buildings. The 5-week series featured a plethora of content, including Keynote addresses from Mahesh Ramanujam, CEO of USGBC National, and Vincent Martinez, COO of Architecture 2030. Both speakers had a laser focus on the future of sustainable design, energy, and healthy communities. We also heard from local Municipalities and their carbon goals, building owners’ perspective of the newest energy programs & updates they are implementing in their facilities, and experts in the energy sector. Last but not least, we celebrated the 17 Biggest Losers of the 2019 Michigan Battle of the Buildings. Just this year, competitors saved $10.6 million in energy costs and avoided 64,391 metric tons of CO2e which is the equivalent of 10,902 homes’ electricity for one year! Congratulations, Biggest Losers of 2019!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BIGGEST LOSERS OF 2019!
